What I Google

There is a time of every week

That is my favorite day

I slip into my king-size bed

With a hazelnut latte

No co-sleeping baby

No bottles, books or toys

The sun is shining, it’s still daytime

Yet there’s no toddler noise

I reach for my computer

It’s been untouched for days

I sink deeply into Spotify

To sweep Mom thoughts away

I resist the temptation

Of my standard browsing history

“Why won’t my toddler go to sleep?”

Will today remain a mystery

“Teething apparatus”

“Ancient grain baby snacks”

“Is the reason why my daughter cries

due to calcium she lacks?”

Rebelliously I google

The most important daily news

Kardahsian or Jordyn Woods

Which one will Kylie choose?

Darrell Wallace Jr.

On diversity

I’m not interested in NASCAR

But he looks just fine to me 😍

I’ll delve into exotic trips

We’ll probably never go

But I should start to strategize

While we have a foot of snow

A Costa Rican treehouse

To experience the climate

A spa in gorgeous Medellin

Relaxation at its finest

After Trip Advisor

And reviews on Air BnB

I’ll exercise my right

To youtube endlessly

An interview with Cardi B

On fame and all it’s pressures

Jimmy Fallon as Bernie Sanders

Two of this country’s treasures

After one whole hour

Or maybe two or three

It’s time to punch out for the day

Back to reality

For now I’ll have to watch the clock

Until my next staycation

No more TMZ or googling

The pressing issues of our nation

Back to working overtime

And to slinging diaper bags

But thanks to my quick getaway

It’s doesn’t seem half bad
