about the rag

the rag is an intersectional feminist zine. we exist to give context to our world, to have questions raised, explored, and maybe even answered. to give our stories a place. glimpses into the lives we lead so we can bear witness to the lives we seek. it’s a place where another world might be possible.

wtf is an intersectional feminist zine? our content upholds the principle of liberation for all peoples, especially bipoc (black indigenous people of color), people of LGBTQIA+ experience, and disabled folx. we stand in solidarity with radical feminism as defined by Celeste Ware (via bell hooks):

radical feminism is working for the eradication of domination and elitism in all human relationships.

contributions don’t need to explicitly explore this, but you should expect to share space with folx from varied affinities; socially excluded groups are actively invited to this family. expect to be challenged; we expect to be challenged. because intersectionality implores our feminism to be inclusive of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, education, age, language, ethnicity, culture and to always be woe (working on excellence)*
